I am a RN working in IT with a passion for fabric. Fabric Portraits are my latest endeavor. One of my portraits was published in Art Quilt Portfolio: People and Places, (page 35,Grandma's Joy), how excited I was to get this honor.
Kids are grown, husbands retired, and the garden is doing well, what more could a girl want. I have a longarm quilting machine (APQS) it's my retirement plan. I've been 'practicing' for 4 years with about 30 quilts under my belt. Those feathers are a challenge, but by the time I'm 70 and can retire I should have it down pat.

Cindi.. your work is wonderful.. and so varied... a little of this and a little of that - that's what I like to do - try different things. The portrait quilts are amazing! LOVE the bags, and the cat quilt.. and the dresden plate. The baby is adorable & so are the cats.
Thanks for the comment regarding Lily.
I was looking at the big arm quilting machine. Is that in your home? It is grand. I would love to have somethng like that. I priced them and they were around $13,000. for a close-out deal on the Internet.
I enjoyed your slide show again.
What a gorgeous dresden plate quilt- I see you have a furry companion who loves your quilts too.
I do love the bargello Heart pattern- it turned out very well and my friends did enjoy receiving it . I would love to make it in shades of pink and green . Some other friends have made the pattern in different color combinations and everyone of them were stunning. I think that is the true sign of a great pattern.
Thanks for visiting - do come and see me again. If you are interested do check out my blog at http: //quiltmomsjourney.blogspot.com
