Please don't get me wrong I love the DH but 5 whole day's of doing what I want, when I want and what to eat for dinner....yup it's gonna be a good time for me. I will be sewing and sewing and sewing. Our new puppy Maggie is sick so I have to stick around for her but that's ok. It's suppose to storm here tomorrow so that makes staying home and enjoying the thounder and sewing and no hubby all the better. Good Morning to all. I have to say that this has been a very strange season for us in Michigan. It's been like fall the past two day's here. It has gotten do into the 40's at night. Although I love this kind of weather it really is not good for the garden. We need those hot nights for the tomatoes and my beans seem to be at a stand still. Oh well, I have gotten some sewing done. I want to thank everyone for their comments on the "blind laddder stitch" - I printed out the directions and figured it out in ohhh 5min. I am now almost done binding my first quilt and I must say that I have had alot of fun doing this. I know alot of people don't like doing the binding but so far I don't mind. You can see some of my stitches but that's ok.....DH say's that it just show's it hand made. LOL Well thanks again and have a wonderful day.

Hi all...I hope everyone had a great 4th....I have a question...while searching the internet I came across a lady who does the blind ladder stitch for her binding. Has anyone ever tried this? It looked pretty easy. She said that it did take alittle longer but I did like the results. Please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.

I know that this isn't a quilting subject but I am so excited...as of July 3rd I will be a "mom" to a 6 week old puppy...I have named her Maggie. Her mother stopped feeding the pups at 4 1/2 weeks so a friend took 2 of the puppies in and I will finally get mine next Friday. DH isn't so thrilled because we already have a dog and cat but once he see's her he too will fall in love!!! She is so black that she's blue....and she is already Sassy!!!
