About Me
I've been quilting for about 10 yrs., but have been around quilting all my life. My grandmother made embroidered quilts and loved doing the hand quilting. I treasure the many quilts she gave me with her beautiful, even hand stitching on them. The lavendar and blue quilt I've posted is made from embroidered blocks that my grandmother made in her last year of life at age 89. My featherweight machine, Maybelle, is named after her! I love piecing quilt tops and am just now beginning to do my own machine quilting. Trips to the quilt shops and hours in my sewing room nourish my sewing soul!
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, paper piecing, machine quilting
My pets are awesome!
Miniature Schnauzer - Chelsea, Golden retriever - Reba, and 2 barn cats - Brutus and Romeo.

Hi Cindy, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I sent the information on to my niece, Danielle. She is wanting to make a t-shirt quilt. I showed her this site to look at ideas for layouts of t-shirts. We both really liked yours! If you have any other pointers on doing a t-shirt quilt please feel free to send them this way. Thank you Dyan S.

Hi Cindy....Haven't seen a post from you for ages on the Iowa Quilters community. Are you still interested in being a member? Do you plan to attend the AQS show in Des Moines at the end of October? May of us are going, staying overnight a couple of nights and meeting up for meals and games, swaps etc. Please let me know if you are at all interested.

Cindy-I finally finished the tee shirt quilt this morning! I've been working like a mad woman to get it finished so I can give it to my friend tomorrow night when we shoot darts. I still need to throw it in washer. With 3 kitties, everything gets loaded with cat fur!! The tees are from concerts and some local bands. I think Robin likes Clay Walker and country music. Not a fan of either myself. Thanks for your instructions and help! It was fun to do and I think that she will really like it. I'll let you know. You can check out the finished product on my page. Thanks again!!

Hi Cindy,

After reviewing the list of members participating in the group project, I thought I'd better send a message to the ladies on my list of missing addresses. When you get a chance, could you please forward your address to me ... Thanks.

p.s. ... do you happen to know who "Barbara" is - she's listed a one of the women included in this group project - and I can't find her anywhere on the Iowa Members page.

I hove all your projects. Nice T shirt quilt. Do you have a harley? Isn't it nice to carry down our talent for family members. My mother couldn't thread a needle. My aunts were all quilters. They got me started. I made an around the world quilt and they gave me all there left over fabric. I think some of it was about 100 years old. Just kidding. Take Care
