Chemo Comfort Quilt

Posted on August 9, 2015 at 8:45pm 8 Comments

I recently learned that my youngest sister has Stage 3 ovarian cancer. She's had surgery to remove the tumor and now faces 6 rounds of chemotherapy. None of our family live close enough to be able to physically help her so I decided we needed to be able to help in spirit. The pattern is Leap Frog by Me and My Sister Designs. My sister collects frogs so it seemed an appropriate choice. I named it "...Frogs sat on a speckled log..." since it reminded me of a counting song I learned as a child.( 10 little speckled frogs sat on a speckled…

I prefer sewing with polar fleece and knits, coming into quilting found so much accuracy, and was lot more difficult to get things to work tog.
