About Me
I have been quilting for more than 10 years but only when I could time between work and children. Now I'm retired and looking forward to pursuing my passion for fabric and quilting. Sylvia's Wedding Sampler will be a great way to start. Hopefully I can also work through the UFO's and Kits that have been waiting for me.
I just have to say that I really like your SBS blocks. I like your choices in placement. Whenever I go to a particular block discussion - I also bought the Hearth and Home fabrics - sometimes I copy yours!! Thanks!
Love your quilts, wallhanging, etc...what part of Nova Scotia are you. I'm in the Ann. Valley. Do you belong to a guild? Do you do your own quilting?

Thanks, Colleen - the wonderful thing about these blocks are that they are small...so if you truly mess one up beyond fixing....its not a MASSIVE waste...but I do find that the directions are so good in this book that mostly its MY error in the sewing that causes the problems, not the directions given to me! Tackle a couple of the "harder" ones and you'll lose your fear lickity split!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a great day.... Somedays it is hard to follow the chatting that goes on. But fun to follow and chat as you like. Hope you have a great garden. I gave that up a few years back when we became empt nesters.
The LA I have is a Baby Lock Jewel. I like it much better that the Janome 1600 that we had. But would like a computerized.......big bucks so I'll be satisfied with what I have. My DH does the quilting for me and he loves it. If you ask him - he wouldn't agree tehehehe
Hi, Colleen - just reviewed your pix....beautiful work. I have been sewing for many years and quilting for only just the last 1-1/2 years. I cannot yet get those beautiful sharp lines that you have in your blocks! What a wonderful studio in which to create your masterpieces! :) Have a super day and keep on with those gorgeous blocks!
Thanx---
I've got alot of kits and things that I just had to have and they are not done yet so don't feel so bad---at least I don't have a reason to ever get board---I am doing this year's 3's company in the traditional and so far I have kept up--we'll see---
I think I have gotten some of the ones out of the way first that I like the least. Plus many of them I have done by hand while watching movies. The needle turn almost did me in on Indiana Rose and there will not be a Grace's Friendship. That turned into a rail fence ;-)
btw I'm watching your pictures flash through above as I type here . Awesome quilts.
