I answered your question on the group page...which is where I saw it first. Keep on the with T-shirt quilts...they are a lot of fun. I recently completed one as a wedding present which had pieced blocks (different for each shirt) around the shirt. It was wild and crazy and a ton of fun. The best part is the total freedom to do anything you want with the quilt. Just treat the shirts as another kind of block. I have done quilts that were mostly pieced blocks with just three or 4 shirts as accents.
I use graph paper when I design a quilt. I decide on a pattern and a size and then I draw it out. That way I know how many blocks I am going to need and how big my borders are going to be (they are usually sized to bring the middle piece to the size I want). I have learned to work in pencil bacause I usually get it wrong once or twice before I like what I have.
I usually check in here every day...so let me know if you have any more questions that I haven't answered (it's hard to remember when I can't see the note I am responding to...I think that is my biggest complaint about this site).
Thanks for the suggestion and the compliment on my quilts. I tried the dowel and it works pretty well. I use my HQ16 for my own and customer quilts. I really like your photos if quilts, especially the watercolor cross.
Hello, I am sending you a separate email with the HQ16 track photos. I hope the photos are clear and that you can see how the tracks are counterscrewed in to the table. By the way, I really like your Halloween twister quilt. Your fabrics are gorgeous! Have a wonderful day! Paula from Topeka, KS
