I started my first quilt 12 years ago. It still is not finished. I love to piece new tops but thats where they end. I also love to machine embroider and hope to combine the two into a finished product. (good luck on that one). I bowl on 3 leagues and Square Dance 3 times a week.

I am so sorry about the loss of your quilting buddy. It is amazing how much a part of our family they become. I lost a grandpet once, and still get teary eyed when I think of her, and it has been 5 years or so. And she didn't even live with us, was my son's pet. But I still loved her and very much enjoyed being her babysitter often.
Your story of quilt tops getting done and that is the end of the line, is too familiar to me. That is usually what happens to me. Maybe we can encourage each other to get them finished!
