Is the yellow one for your niece? It's beautiful! Have a great time at the quilt retreat, one of these days I will attend one, but really everyday is a quilt retreat for me except I don't have other quilters around me. I try to get with others for a little bit at least once a month. Happy Quilting, Julia

Thank you Cynthia. I had a lot of fun making this quilt. I used the leftovers from the Riviera sampler.

Thanks for you comment, Cynthia. The mint and brown purse pattern is called "Got Pockets" by Pat-e-Patterns. I bought the pattern because so many of my purse and tote patterns are just a bag and everything goes to the bottom. This one has all kinds of pockets, zippers, credit card slots, cell phone pocket etc. and I really like that. All went well until I got to the instructions for the top zipper closure and the directions were absolutely AWFUL. I've been sewing for 40 years and I could not figure out what they wanted me to do for the life of me! After ripping it out three times I finally "winged it" and got it finished although I'm sure not the way the designer intended. I am using the purse but just wasn't happy with how the top turned out. I don't usually do things like this, but I was so discouraged with the pattern that I wrote to the company by email. They replied that they were aware of the problem and were in the midst of a revision. They promised to send me a revised copy once it came from the printers and they did! I haven't had a chance to take a good look at it and compare the differences but I intend to try it again and hopefully, will have an easier time.

Just looked at your slide show again Cynthia. You do amazing work. I love the Buckeye Beauties quilt and the irish chain with all the purples is wonderful. Guess I can't pick a favorite, but thanks for sharing!
