After being a SAHM and homeschooling for 11 years, I took a teaching position at a private Christian school near us. This last Fall many changes happened for our family... all wonderful! All my children attend the school, and my husband, also my Pastor, is able to pursue his Master's degree. I still enjoy quilting, knitting, writing, and music, though obviously my time is now severely limited. :)
We have a couple of things in common. I was a stay at home mom (many years ago) to two boys and I started quilting 14 years ago. I started sewing in high school. For years I admired beautiful quilts but thought they were too hard for me to make. I was in for a big surprise when I took a quilting class and found out how fun they are to make. I prefer making smaller quilt projects, table runners, baby quilts, and things like that. The big quilts take more time and I find I get bored with the same project. Probably a throw back to my garment sewing where you can have a new dress in a day or two. lol
