I now live in Chilliwack, B.C. About 60km west of previous home in Hope. I am excited to say that I am attending quilting/embroidery classes at an actual "shop" but still do shop on line especially at CT.

Good Morning Darlene....have a wonderful Birthday celebration...there are so many videos online that will help you learn...it is a wonderful pastime...I just finished a runner that had a new technique where you folded back certain parts and stitched and it made a beautiful flower....always fun to learn something new...need to quilt...just got a new Janome 15 lb machine....I have a 6500 also...will post when I get it done...Blessings in the New Year!!!
hi Darlene. how is it going. Are you busy working outside or are you quilting. I'm getting ready for my sister's visit next week. She lives in N.B. so we don't get together very often. Are you thinking of coming this way for a day of quilting with the group? Let me know and I'll give you particulars about where and when we meet.
Thought of you as I drove through Hope last week. As always, the speed traps were up! If you ever come this way feel free to contact me. I can let you know where the quilt shops are - even shop hop with you. Happy sewing.
Good afternoon Darlene. On Friday I was wishing I had phone number. lol lol lol We were on our way to Abbotsford and our 2004 Ford F150 blew the pistons just before Hope. We sat at the Car Guys from about 12:30 until 5:00 when my son was able to pick me up, along with three dogs of course and another son picked my husband up. They went back to Princeton to get our other vehicle as the truck won't be ready until next weekend. What an expensive trip; now another motor for the truck and the mileage was very low so we must have bought a lemon in 2004. Yesterday I took two dogs to be neutered so another $400. All I could think of was fabric, fabric and more fabric that I could have bought with all this money. Talk later.
Nancy: Each Friday for four weeks the new lessons are posted. Myself personally, I print the lessons off and download all the patterns immediately. I need to continually refresh my memory regarding the methods used. I love it as I don't feel embarrassed if I have to reread something many times....so I work offline as I have everything printed off. The class I just began cost $36 for the four lessons and many downloads.
Hi Darlene---could you tell me how the QU classes work? Do you do the work online or offline. Our internet system limits our time online so I couldn't watch videos or anything like that. It sounds very interesting and I'd love to know more about it. Thanks so much.
