My mother taught me to sew when I was 12 years old. I sewed clothes until around 2005. I started building quilts and have been making quilts off and on since then. I enjoy sewing, quilting and machine embroidering.

Whew! Festival was busy. To answer your question, this year, I helped hang quilts and set up displays before the show. During the show, I worked bag check. Bag check was fun, but increased my shopping list when I'd see some of the things the ladies were checking.
Haven't they done a show in Phoenix?
Watching your grandchild sounds rewarding and gives you someone else to make quilts for.
I go to IQF every year. The location is convenient for me. Some years, I work it. This year, I'm working more than I ever have. The money I make all goes back to the vendors. So in essence, I'm working for my spending money.
Debbi, the curved, blunt tip, Kai embroidery scissors are model N5130. As mentioned in my feoup post, im at IQF until Sunday, if you want me to pick up a pair, let me know, you could maul me the money and I will send the scissors.
I was truly serious. I wanted to get that but the smaller hoops would be such an insult to that fabulous design. I tried to do the multi-hooping thing and made such a mess of it that I actually use that large square of mistake for practice stitching.
Hi Debi, I don't know if I told you but I finally made a rag quilt (several now actually) and they are fun to make. And cute too. How are you doing? I know I don't get on here enough to keep up but I wanted to share that with you. I hope you have a great weekend.
