About Me
I made my 1st square 40+ years ago inspired by my Great Gran. While it hasn't been my primary medium all this time I come back to this art form more than any other so I have a ton of tops with a goal in 2009 to finish them all! I have a small business called Snooty Paws Clothier where I sew and design boutique style small dog apparel. 20% of all profits are donated to Boston Terrier Resue. When I'm not sewing I am a member of Cincinnati Sound Chorus a Chapter of Sweet Adelines International and I'm a Bari :-) We placed 31st in International Contest in November in Honolulu!

It's good to have a hobby...

...and this past week has been no exception - I value the calm serenity quilting has provided during this very stressful time. My DH had the good fortune (if you will) to have his most recent heart attack in the emergency room which was followed by emergency open heart surgery.

The pictured quilt is the finished product - I sat at the hospital during his surgery and picked out all of the stitches from a design gone horribly wrong! I can't think how my day would have turned out had I… Continue

2009 - The Year of the Finished Quilt!

Like so many quilters, it's the chase that I love - I get a design idea in my head and I can't rest until I see how it looks and I'm off and running another idea. "What about the 3Bs?", Gran would ask? You mean B inspired, B resourceful, and B accurate---Nope! Wrong Answer - apparently you're not finished until you add the Batting, Backing and Binding! So I have dedicated my 2009 to B finished!

Great idea with the rescue donations quilts. Hug all your doggies. They are the most wonderful additions to any home. P.S. I love great danes cause I don't have to bend over very far for a hug. Bernie aka Goofy has already eaten the top of my tomatoe plant - and it isn't even in the ground yet.

Deni,
Tell your sister I understand how she is feeling about the loss of her doggie. Bernie is our 9th great dane and most have been rescues. We found Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue on the internet when we lost one of our lovelies and have been rescuing through them since. Tell her to brouse through the following site and just keep looking. http://www.rmgreatdane.org/ The rescue group not only does a wonderful job of fostering but they go the extra mile to find transports for them to get them closer to their final home. Bernie aka Goofy came from Kansas, went through Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Idaho till he finally came home to us in Montana. I would be happy to talk with her about great danes.

I'm glad your taking your special day to relax and pamper yourself with what you want to do. I looked at your website. It's wonderful you share your proceeds in such a caring way. I have two friends who have Boston Terriers. I will tell them about your website. I have a dog I got in an animal shelter. He was 8 yrs. old when I got him and is now 13. He was in line to be euthanized. The shelter that had him first is a kill shelter and only keeps them a week, so they called my local shelter (no kill)to ask if they would take him as he was to nice of a dog to put down. I fostered him for a week and then adopted him. He's Springer Spaniel/ Golden Retriever mix. He is one pampered pup and knows it. lol
