About Me
I first started to quilt in 1974 along with other crafts. I love to create things. I started hand dying in Colorado with a group of friends for a couple of years. I was so hooked when I moved to California that I continued to dye fabrics and started a business called Rainbow Fabrics. That was 10 years ago. Teri from connecting threads picked up my Quilters dye it treats that year. Later they decided to try fat quarter of gradations the purple and green they still have along with a line of other fabrics.

I do have all the blocks done and do have pictures but have not been able to get them on QWU. I have been so busy trying to get the guest/justin room painted and new furniture put together-gotta love Ikea!! Also I had my 30th HS reunion this past weekend and had my girlfriend stay with us for the weekend . We had such a great time with old schoolmates that a lot of us have over the years lost contact with and with Facebook have reconnected! Made some new friends also!
So now I have to get working on my quilting projects and I am looking forward to tackling them!!!!

Beautiful quilts. It looks like you like a challenge. I bet you pass up the easy patterns.

Diana, every quilt in your pictures is absolutely, incredibly, exquisite. I really mean it. They are brilliant in color choices, construction and overall affect. Thank you for sharing them with us. Wow. You give me a lot to think about and I will come back time and again to look at your color combinations. Samuel

Hi Diana! I would love to meet you and Karen, but I will not be able to make the trip. Thanks so much for being a fan of my quilts! I would have loved to be able to joke with you about our names being so similiar. I am missing out on a wonderful opportunity and it saddens me.

I am now looking towards Houston. It has been years since I have been out and around to these wonderful shows. I just know that you all will have a ball....have one for me, too. Smiles, Diana

Hi Diana - DH is much much better, thanks! He's back on his bike, got his replacement bike this week and loves it. But he still can't sit in a regular chair for more than 20 minutes without some discomfort. But cycling doesn't cause him any pain -odd! He just got a 3rd xray yesterday to see how it's healing, but hasn't seen the results yet. I'm counting down the days til I see you!

Thank you, as we talked about the border for the quilt the rest of the blocks are done but I haven't had a chance to upload the pictures from the camera!! Hopefully this weekend I'll have a chance to sit down and get it done. Best of luck to your husband as I know hanging doors can be a real challenge!!
It was surprising, just goes to show how small this world really is!!

Hi Diana, It was very nice talking to you this evening and I hope I didn't take to much of your time!! Did your husband get the door up?? Just went thru your pictures! Your quilts are beautiful!!! I have the Rainbow Ribbons pattern and love the black background! It was my first intro to your products!! That is a project on the "to do" list!!!

Hi Diana, just perused your quilts. Love the flowers in the quilts and evidently you are dying your own fabrics. Beautiful. The dresden plate quilt reminded me of one of the first I made - it has long been deceased (Scruffy got to it). The yoyos seem a challenge. I always said that I'd probably die before ever making a yoyo or a wedding ring quilt. I got a yoyo maker something or other for Christmas, sigh. Perhaps I'll have to challenge myself. Have a good evening.
