Donna,Good to hear from you on the Iowa Quilters--I think of you often. I hope you have some days off to enjoy your grandchildren. Mine always make me smile. Losing John has been sad for all of us,and the 4 yr old has a little song she sings about missing her Grandpa. I am sure it is the same for you-you mentioned that you did not feel like talking at first and I withdrew a little, too. Did go visit children as they wanted me to,but otherwise did not even go out to eat until this week-no fun going alone. I must admit that I have gone out to eat with my children, but John and I went out almost every week. Work hads been a blessing as I can forget about everything there. Well, best get ready for work, have a good quilty day!
You are a great poet. Love the poem. You were always fun and had a great picture or card to share with the group. Come back and talk about whatever you want, I think talking about people we have lost is important. We lost my FIL 18 years ago on Sunday, and we still talk about him like he was just around having fun with us!
Donna, I am glad you received the quilt and like it. I thought it turned out nice. I love your new picture, your DH is still with you, and always will be.
I love the poem, did you write it?
Donna, Betty told us about yorur DH. I could tell the two of you were such a good fit. He's still in your heart, hold onto that. I am sending big quilty hugs to you. Come talk to us when you want, we miss you.
