My friends and I at the Lutheran church up the street have been making utility quilts for Lutheran World Relief. I became the happy owner of a wonderful Pfaff sewing machine about 2 years ago and decided to learn to do pieced quilts. I'm basically a beginner and still have much to learn. Now I'm also quilting with the American Heroes Quilters. It's a great feeling to be quilting for the wounded troops. All our quilts are in red, white and blue. I've made three now and will start another one this week when we meet again.
We have 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons who are the joys of our lives.

Okay, the first letter D is for Dear or Darling, or disgusting or Drearful---what ever you are feeling toward the person at that time......
The next letter(as in this case) "G" is for grand ---S is for son or sister---
The last letter in this case is for D is for daughter.
The quilt that I am making is for my oldest grand-daughter. I have to make one for the others later on. I have 6 grandies and 6 great grandies. I have 5 brothers and 5 sisters and more nieces and nephews than I have time to count. Almost as many great n and n also.
Dorathy, I would be happy to be friends. I watched your slideshow and I really like your works. I especially loved the bit you posted about the cat being different. I loved the "Sudoku" as much for the simplicity of the quilt as the colors.
Would love to be friends....43 degrees here in Maine today...working at putting away summer clothes and taking out winter...seems like Fall came too fast...we have wood furnace...back up with oil...so it is toasty in the house...pretty quilts..
