Well, here I am again.  My son raises chickens for hobby.  He buys his cooking chicken at Krogers, LOL  I just bought fabric last week to make curtains for my oldest son's kitchen french doors.  I'll post pictures after I've made them. They will be 2 long panels for each door.  I picked up the mat'l at WMart, it's a border chicken print in black/red/yellow/cream/green.  I was looking for a rooster panel to make a wall hanging for his kitchen wall. I found a nice one on www.fabric.com last night.  A while ago, there was fabric with an off white bkground and black chicken wire, then another with chicken foot prints & then one with chicken feed on it.  They were really cute then.  I'm so sorry that I didn't think of it at the time.  Now I can't find it.  I'll keep looking, or use the rooster panel & compromise the other borders.  I'm also making cat fabric pillow cases for my 87 yr old aunt who has Parkinson's.  She lives on a farm in central NJ and she was my first educator to cats, plants, and sewing (other than pegged jeans).

I'm also knitting scarves for our church's annual Christmas Fair.  I donated 8 of them last Dec. and they sold all of them in less then 45 min.  They made $108 on the 8 of them.  I knit while watching tv.  Keeps my hands busy and snacking out of my mouth.

Keep in touch. xoxo Chris

Good morning. Thanks for adding me as a friend.  I started out making doll clothes for my "babies" from my g'mother's fabric scraps. I remember pinning them to the cloth dolls with diaper pins.  LOL  I graduated from pins to learning how to sew on my GM's treadle machine.  When I was in high school, I pal-ed around with this girl Carol, that my GM didn't care for.  Looking back now, Carol wasn't the kind of person parents wanted a 14-15 yr old to hang with.  Well, anyway, we were over at my GM's and Carol saw the machine and asked if I knew how to use it, I said I did.  Well, she had this bright idea of "pegging" our blue jeans.  that is, turn them inside out, and sew up the inner seams and it would "peg" your jeans.  Sort of the "cool look" then?  Well, she went into the bathrm, took her jeans off and wrapped her self in a bath towel.  I sewed her jeans, then did the same to mine.  We thought that was the ultimate cool.  However, when I got back home, my GM called my mom and told her what we did.  Not only did I get read the rules & regulations of my mom's house, but I had to use a seam ripper and take every stitch out - and - I was told that if I put a hole in the jeans that that would be the one and only pair my parents bought/allowed me to have in high school.  Oh, geez!  Honestly, I didn't see anything wrong with what I had done but the "image" I was portraiting with those "pegged jeans" was not one that my mom or dad wanted the neighbors to see.  My mom, bless her heart was all about image.  She use to say "you walk into a room like a lady and you leave the room  as a lady".  Things were changing in the world when I was in my teens, it was sort of like getting mixed signals.  LOL

Check my profile for additional info about me.  I too am a granny of seven and a great granny of 5.  Love them to pieces, all of them.  I ran out of space on this, I'll continue.
