Successful Quilter's Day Out

Posted on March 22, 2009 at 10:27am 0 Comments

The Kentucky Quilter’s Day Out event in Louisville yesterday was wonderful. There were many show and brag, door prizes, quilt challenge viewing & judging, demos, quilt shop vendors, long arm dealers, food, free coffee & cookies, good friends, and many stories to be told. My estimate on attendance is 600+. Fun day for all able to attend.

Funny Babies

Hope you enjoy making Funny Babies. It takes a good deal of time to create all the applique babies and button hole stitch them down. It took me forever but it turned out so cute.

I've just read that derby is Saturday this weekend. - Do you have any favorites? I don't know the first thing about this years' horses.

Elaine, great to hear from you. I haven't done much on mine either. Still have them all on the go - at least one is sandwiched and almost finished quilting and I will soon be ready to bind it. Like you I only work on it from time to time. I have been knitting for the Hospital Gift Shop. I am the only one making baby stuff and I cannot keep up with it. I get one thing done and poof it is sold. Oh well, I guess all these things keep us out of trouble eh? Glad you are ok and just busy. Busy I can handle. Have a great summer. Glad you got hi-speed. I am sure you will love it.

Elaine, where have you gotten to. Haven't heard from you for ages. My EPP inspiration has gone and left me = need you to come back. What have you been up to and are you still quilting. Sure do miss you, Girl! At least drop in once in a while and say hi. Just thinking the other day, if any of us died or got really sick, the rest would never know what happened as our DH's would never let the forum know I am sure.

Yeah, probably not too many Froggie quilter's in OK! I just keep submitting an answer, some of the answers are pretty boring, the name of the question IS quirky! So, I think they want a quirky answer. It's fun, either way.

Yes, that is me! I got the e mail message, and had to read it three times to realize I had actually won something. I got a book to download, so I chose a Log Cabin book. It has different layouts and fabrics to use, some don't even look like a Log Cabin. I was very excited to win. I will have to watch for your quirky answers.

Elaine Froggie!
That is hilarious. We can be froggie together. I've been working on some froggie stitches on a quilt, I started quilting it then decided I hated it. So I started carefully working. Good think I bought a new seam ripper a few months ago. I am afraid it's almost worn out now, though. Good thing they are pretty cheap. I can imagine a bunch of blow up froggies in your pond. How funny. What a great neighbor.
Hoppy quilting!
