Balls Falls Craft Show Thanksgiving Weekend

Hi everyone...spent Saturday at the Balls Falls Craft show with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. What a time we had. It's a beautiful conservation area to hike and wander the trails in. The weather was sunny and a little cooler than usual. I've taken a week off from quilting .... had to recuperate from my quilt guilds quilt show. It's been a very busy couple of weeks. Now it's time to get working on the Christmas gifts that I plan on giving. I Hope all my fellow Canadian quilting friends had… Continue

Quilt Show in Bobcaygeon, Ontario

I just got back from visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. What a beautiful weekend!
The leaves have already started turning and the weather was perfect. The Bobcaygeon Quilters' Guild had their quilt show this weekend. It was held in their heritage village. What a perfect spot. I entered the quilt I made for Finleigh in the show. It was well liked. Now I have to get ready for my quilt guild's show which is
being held Oct. 2nd and 3rd at the Silver Spire United Church in… Continue

Added some new pictures

Hi Everyone, It's been a few weeks since I have posted something on my blog. I can't believe that there are over 1100 quilters on this sight now. Isn't this wonderful, so many people to get great ideas from. I've added some new pictures of past quilts I have made. My current project is a quilt for my husband, who has
been waiting for it for a long time. Well I had better get back to quilting....

I finally finished Finleigh's quilt

Hi everyone. I finally finished Finleigh's quilt. I said I would post a picture of it when it was finished. It is a pink and white dresdan plate quilt with a white prairie point edge. I made the quilt for my niece Lesley's little girl Finleigh. I also found pictures of some of my other quilts that I have made. I will be entering Finleigh's quilt in a quilt show in the fall. I hope everyone enjoys my pictures.

Placemats for Meals on Wheels

I just added a new picture of some of the placemats my guild has made for Meals on Wheels clients. My quilt guild has been making placemats for Meals on Wheels for the last 3 years. We have made over 300 placemats. I deliver the placemats to the Meals on Wheels office a few weeks before Christmas. Each placemat has a signed Christmas card pinned to it, on behalf of the quilt guild. The placemat is delivered to each client with their Christmas meal. Sometimes this is the only gift their clients g… Continue

Love the pink Dresden plate. I have this pattern on my "to do" list of quilts I'd like to make. Yours is so pretty and feminine. She'll love it!

All of your quilts are so nice. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

My quilt guild held their AGM last night. It was our annual potluck which we decided this year to have it catered. What a wonderful night we had with fellow quilters and a great meal. This was our last meeting until September. Now we can finish our UFO's and get things ready for our quilt show in October.

Thank you. I found a few moments to check out the site and the racks look close to what I would like. My room is 9x12, and it has just been renovated (my husband and I do that in our non existent spare time). Our home was built in 1931 as a one room cabin....and over the years, the other 3 owners have added their own "personal" touches. Structurally speaking, I am surprised those "touches" survived. But they are all gone now, updated correctly and to code! Thanks again!

The ladder rack looks good! I love mine. It is an actual old barn loft ladder. I'm bad about taking pictures, but I'll try to get one posted on my page sometime in the near future.

Hi Elaine, Thanks for the information on the patterns. I have been to the Hobby Horse - great store. I don't get to St. Catherines that often so don't know any quilt stores in that area. But Georgetown isn't that far from me and we can go that way via the trailer we have up north. Thanks again. Hope you are enjoying the site and getting to know people.

Elaine, I looked up the web site like you said lots of great patterns. But it looks like you can't order from her site but have to go through a store. Am I correct in thinking that or have I read it wrong.
