I love to quiltand also like to research anything I can about Quilting, I find it very interesting, I have never taken a quilting course so i;ll say I'm self taught, i usually start to many projects the one time(I really need to stop doing that) so what happens then is that all my projects are a long time before they are finished.
I live here in Campbellton, Newfoundland, we have long cold winters so theres lots of time for quilting but I have fibromyalgia so I have to pace myself because I can't sit for long periods of time, if I do I end up with lots of pain.
Thanks for your comment on the Turning Twenty quilt. That was the first time I have used Balis or Batiks. My tastes are more "Country"
My cousin (cdn) married a girl from Hawaii so I thought that these fabrics would be a perfect fit for them. I chose fabrics with Maple leaves and pine cones to represent Canada for the Groom and then the more Tropical prints for the Bride. They loved the quilt and I am pleased with how it turned out.
