Thanks for commenting on my quilts. I love your "home' quilt. I like the rule breaker name too. I'm starting a quilt for my DD that definitely breaks the rules. I promised one to her and her DH when they got married 2 years ago and she finally decided what she wanted. The pattern is more general suggestions than real directions and there are no straight edges. It's very different from what I usually do but I think it will be fun. I'm excited to see how it works out. Have a great day!
Thanks for weighing in on the basket quilt, RB. Great to hear from another Nebraska quilter! This one will go on a bed and the brown will hang off the edge, so it probably won't matter in the long run. It was after dark when I finished the quilt last night and when I put it on the bed the brown seemed to give the whole quilt a darker look than what I'd envisioned. It looks better in the daylight to me, or maybe it is just growing on me. I don't have much use for throw-size quilts anymore, so that's why I messed with added borders to this pattern. :0) I've appreciated all the comments. It really helps me to look at the quilt through fresh eyes.
Welcome (I love your name, by the way) Rule Breaker!!
I tend to break those rules at times also.......
Hope you enjoy the site. There are wonderful pictures to see and lots of blogs to read. Get involved and you will see just how quickly you will feel at home here!
Have a great day!

Very glad to hear from you, I live in south central NE down about 10 miles from the KS border on the Republican River Valley. It is nice to meet you and glad to see another Nebraskan interested in quilting. I am a machine quilter, love art quilt, but am involved now in a Pizza Box Block Swap in my local Quilt Group. Prairie Quilter is from around the Curtis/Maywood area and then right now I cannot think of her name but she is from around where you are. Hope to hear from you again.
