About Me
retired(MVA fractures) X-ray Technologist for 35+ years. I've been dabbling at quilting off and on for 20 years. Never have considered myself anything but a beginner. Took up the challenge of calling myself and full-fledged quilter in 2007 right after accident and realizing I would never be able to work at my career again. Quilting has been my lifesaver. I think I am getting better. I sometimes jump into things much greater than my learning capacity and stuggle ever so hard to finish it. I much prefer quilting by hand. I am able to get my points on nicely. I think If I just practice more with my machines I will get better. I have started practicing machine quilting with my ELNA Quilter's Dream, but I think I'm dreaming when I'm trying to quilt.:)
I have 2 grown children and two almost grown grandchildren. My best friend and I support each other through thick and thin. We love going to car shows and visiting our children and grandchildren.

I have tried to entertain and enjoy quilting all by myself up north because I have no family there. Friends I can understand, but I… Continue

I finally discovered that I really enjoy quilting by hand, because I can take it with me where ever I go and I always have something to do.

Quilting by hand I can watch all the news programs that I'm not interested in and act just like I am right there with all the action. I don't find myself gasping and wringing my hands and trying to find away to escape with out looking like I don't want to keep company. I just sit there busy with my hands and my smile and quilt.

I do admit that I… Continue

Good description Dale! A bad "sewing buddy" can ruin a perfectly lovely day of sewing.
