About Me
I am a wife and a mother of one. I have been on disability for fifteen years due to Crohn's Disease. Being unable to work I found myself looking to find a hobby to make my days pass faster. I was always interested in Geneology and when I found Quilters TV I quickly became the worlds most addicted quilter. My quilts have been admired by every who see's them and I am strongly thinking of selling my quilts to earn a little extra income. I am now teaching myself how to design quilts using the EQ6 program and I just LUV this program. I am hoping someday to hear from others who have stared up their own quilting business because they were ill and unable to work.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, paper piecing, machine quilting, crazy quilting, knitting
My Pets

My first blog..Well actually my second

I wrote on my blog eariler today but I guess it didn't work its not showing up here. I have one more week until we move to our new home. I have been packing everything and I am almost finshed. The one room that I cannot bring myself to pack is of course my "Quilters Den". I just can't seem to get myself to pack everything up in the quilting room and then not have anywhere to go. In fact I will probably be packing it as the movers are moving the rest of the furniture into the moving truck. It's a… Continue

Hi Eunice, Just read your blog. To where are you moving? My best friend has Crohn's also. She has been through so much in the last 40 years. I am a retired nurse and understand your disease. I just wish they could find more treatment for it. Love your quilting. Keep up the good work.

Hi Eunice,
Your pillows are lovely. The use of colors is amazing. Please post some of your quilts, I would love to see them.
I love this site and I hope that you will also, you meet such nice people from everywhere. I live in Dayton Texas and can only imagine Canada. All of the snow and mountains.

Hugs,
Nan

When we moved to this house, which is much smaller than the one we left, my sister-in-law asked which room I was going to use for my sewing room. I told her "this room" (I was kidding.). Her response was "But it's the biggest room in the house". Anyway - that room is actually our living room and my sewing room is the largest of the spare bedrooms. My husband's original plan was for me to use the smallest room, but then I pointed out that he had the garage, the shed and the barn for his stuff. I share my room with the cats' feeding station so the dog doesn't get at it, so I quite often have a cat or two or three on my sewing table or ironing board!

P.S. - Thanks for adding me as a friend. My sister lives in London, Ont. and can't wait to return to BC in the next couple of years when she and her husband retire. Where in Ontario are you? It seems there are a lot of members of this group in Ontario and very few in BC.

Love your use of colour! The pillows just jump right out - right off the bed or sofa! I have not done foundation piecing as I don't do very much 'traditional' quilting (although I am working on a scrappy log-cabinish type now for our spare bedroom which needs livening up!). I think I may try English Paper Piecing in the near future.

Welcome Eunice - nice to 'meet' you. My mother had Crohn's Disease too. I hope you enjoy the neat quilters you will meet on this site. It's fun and addictive!
