I have been married 40+ years, have 3 grown children and two grandchildren. I recently retired and hope to be able to do more quilting. In the last year or so I have started to quilt my quilts at Quilter's Studio in Loveland. Piecing is still what I love best, but I do enjoy seeing the project come together with the quilting. I even enjoy binding, but not so much making hanging sleeves and labels.
Okay I'm trying again. I think I lost my original post. Is anyone doing Bonnie's Lazy Sunday Mystery quilt. I would love to share progress with others. I am (hopefully) attaching picture of my fabrics and step one.…
I have Bible study in the morning but I will be home by about 11. Come for lunch and bring your machine and thread and between Gwen and I, maybe we can help you figure something out. If Wed. afternoon won't work, Thursday afternoon is good too. What do you think??
Hi Frances, I really would like to try to help you with your tension issues if I can . You are not very far from me. I would like to know if you would like to get together this week. Gwen, who you have seen mentioned several times on the Ohio Quilters site, is going to come here for a visit this week. If you would like to come over to meet both of us and just visit, I would love that. Let me know what your week looks like and hopefully we can work something out.
Frances, thank you for the kind words about the book. I've parted ways with the other authors but my former writing partners just published a second book in the series titled Timeless Star.
I believe we met last year at the Quilt Show in Cincinnati. My sister-in-law, Gloria, and I met you close to the entrance to the show and had a very nice short chat. Hope we will be able get together again soon.
Hi Francine, I have just found your lovely coment about my crumb quilt. I have now run out of crumbs, so need to start another collection. My good friend says those crumbs cost as much as buying a metre/yardage.
We will be going down first thing in the morning, try to get there when they open. I will send you a message with my cell phone and we can keep in touch and try to meet up. I'm not sure where you are along 275 but it might be possible to meet up along the way and travel down together too. I am near 71 and Fields Ertel Rd. I will get on 71 to head down to the Duke Center.
Hi Frances. Where in Cincinnati are you? I am just north of cincy in the Maineville, Morrow, South Lebanon area. It would be fun to meet up sometime. Are you going to the quilt festival in Cincy in a couple of weeks?
Welcome to Ohio Quilters, Frances. You will find the members to be a very friendly group with lots of talent. Love looking at your quilt slide show -- beautiful work. How wonderful that your granddaughter sews with you. Mine is 7 and she hasn't done any quilting yet but she has made some pillowcases so I hope she continues. Please feel free to jump right into the discussions. We'd love to hear from you.
