Thanks for the birthday wishes. Getting older is not so bad when you can spend the day shopping for your birthday present in a fabric stores---the Fabric Shack in Waynesville, Ohio. My husband, DuWayne, at my side acting as my color consultant. He has a better eye for color than I do.

Thank you so much. I think I will like this site very much. Because this is new to me, it will take me a little time to figure it all out. Have a wonderful day.

Here is the link for the free downloadable pattern for the casserole carrier. I used insulbright from CT with a thin layer of warm & natural for my batting.

Happy quilting!

Hi Nanny, Thanks for the commenting! Yes, Prince of Wales Island is closer to Juneau, it is actually closer to Ketchikan. I haven't even been to Anchorage myself, just because Seattle is closer and alot of our family is between there and Roseburg, Oregon. But we have loved here for 30 years! We came here to log, which all closed
down in 2000, so we opened our home as a Bed and Breakfast!
I do a lot of cooking, but would rather be quilting!!! Are you near family?

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes! Helped to make my day a good one! Plus, got me back to connecting with quilters here! I can't believe how long I've been away. I have kept up with my blog on blogspot, however. I'd really rather be quilting! I was in LA 2 years ago, doing relief work in New Orleans...helped an elderly lady get back into her home after Katrina's floods. My first time there, and I enjoyed seeing the area. As I write this, I'm enjoying a slide show of your projects...looks like you've done some fun things! Happy stitching today! Carol :)
