Hi Georgie - glad to hear you are doing well and have gotten some quilts done. I do know what you mean about not getting as much done when the weather is nice; I too like to spend some time in my garden plus I also have some demands on my time from my nephew to help out at quilt shows on occasion demonstrating the machines - now that is such a chore LOL. The QOV top I did yesterday was a little less than a twin I think but I did a very simple meander over the center and a couple of rows of terry twists in squares with a double teardrop w/a swirl in the borders and got it done in a day. The other one I did earlier was a bit more involved as it had outlining of parade figures and boxes plus it had several "border" areas that had different things; I spent a couple of days on that. Part of it also depends on how much I get interrupted during the process. I could probably have done that one in a day except for the interruptions plus I had a little challenge on some of the outlining - rippit, rippit!! There are a lot of machines out there and some very good used ones also, especially the Noltings, which are more reasonable in price; it makes a difference too in the frame you get and how big a quilt you want to be able to do. It is quite fun!!
