Hi Gini. Would you like to be my friend? I sent a quickie request, but they are hard to spot on your page. I almost missed the one from Becky! I am dreading the packing next week, especially since it will be hot. I'm having a terrible time deciding what to take with me to sew on. I don't have much longer to decide, so I'll have to get busy Monday.
Thanks for the post about WDC. It was very helpful. Can you suggest a tour bus/trolley that is better than others? I looked into Old Town Trolley Tours because someone suggested a night tour of the monuments because it is quite a sight. I think we are staying at the Hyatt on Capitol Hill...my sister made those reservations because of her conference. Thanks again.
Gini, where is Banner Elk? I'm too lazy to get my maps out! We're in Maryville, just south of Knoxville. Actually, it's becoming a suburb of Knoxville. Joe was in the Navy for 23 years, and retired in 1978. I can't believe it has been that long, but it does give away our ages! Our youngest son is still on active duty at the Pentagon.
