Hi All,I was very pleased to find this site a couple of week ago but I find I am having a hard time getting around it. I have tried everything to post my profile picture photo for the last 2 hours…Continue
I have done some quilting in the past but would like to make a quilt for every member of my family. I attend a lot of craft fairs where I sell embroidered items plus some knitted and crocheted items but the quilting will be just for gifts.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
Thanks for your kind comment on my little quilt. It was one that I donated to the Cancer Society for auction, the taller person in the picture is the one who got the winning bid. She was pleased as she was going to have Japanese visitors and wanted to put it in their guest room. I hope to put some more quilt pictures on in the future. I'm totally addicted to quilting, mostly applique.
Hello Helene! Thank you for your comments on my Alice's Show and Tell. Rhonda Mossner has a site (she is also part of the QWU family). She has the pattern for sale on her site. She has a posting on today's posts.
Helene, have you ever done English Paper Piecing? That is what that is. If you go to the group English Paper Piecing, you will see Cindy/ MSDesigns and she has her own website as well. She offers workshops on Quilt with Us free and she sells the paper pieces if you want them. Also if you go to her website that is also mentioned in the workshops in the EPP group you will see if she is offering this course right now. It is copyrighted or I would gladly send it to you. If you have trouble finding it, just let me know and I will tell you exactly how to get there. Let me know how you make out.
Helene, I am in northern Ontario - north shore of Lake Superior - Marathon. It is just about half way between Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay. Helene, if you click on the meet and share tab at the top of your page, then go to groups and find Quilting Canadians group. It will give you the option at the top right hand I think it is to join the group. If you have any problems, let me know.
