Been away for a long time

Posted on August 5, 2017 at 3:20pm 4 Comments

Its been a long time since I posted. I came across my password and sign in while doing some cleaning. I really like being back on here looking at all the pretty things.

I lost my paternal grandma in March of 2014 at the age of 93. She is the one who taught me to sew and quilt.

I have been making quilts still and i will try to post a few in the coming days.

Glad to be back.

Another one I have completed. I blogged about this one in February.

Still around and about

Posted on February 16, 2010 at 4:09pm 7 Comments

I hadn't been on here the last few months because I had been worried about my money situation from being unemployed etc. But finally got a new job, back with the school system and am happy to say I finally feel at peace enough again to quilt. So the last few weeks I have been working on a reversible lap quilt. Pics will be posted when I am done with it. But just wanted everyone to know I am still around

Hello Henry,
The aprons look so charmingly simple, what pattern do you use, or is this your original design?
I was thinking of making some aprons for some aunts and cousins.
Thanks - Aida

Hi Henry,
That is a really cute quilt. you've been very productive lately! I think I'll have to hire you to come to my house to finish some stuff while I work on customers' quilts! lol

Hi Henry,
the aprons look great. I never had any until I inheirited my mothers. She always wore aprons.
I like the cookie quilt too. I'm glad that your here. You and Samuel are proof on here that men can be just as creative and talented as women.

Hi Henry love your aprons. They seem so popular now. You should check out Debbie Synder blog she designs aprons patterns. I was really surprise to see so many varieties and designs. Now I know what to do with the Asian fabric I brought back from Beiing! Would make a lovely entertaining apron. It so good to see a man quilting - see it isn't just for little old grannies!!!!! Happy Quilting.

I love aprons, too. I have made quite a few over the years and my favorites are made with novelty and holiday fabrics. I love the one you did with the Pepsi pinup girls!
