OKAY I AM ALREADY STARTING MY ENTRIES FOR THE 2010 FAIR

WELL THIS YEAR IS FINALLY DONE; AND PICKED UP AND WHAT A DAY!!!

WE CAME OUT OF THE FAIR LAST NIGHT AND HAD A FLAT TIRE, WE USED FIX A FLAT, WENT AROUND THE CORNER AND ADDED AIR AND WERE ABLE TO MAKE THE 45 MIN'S HOME WITHOUT ANY MORE PROBLEMS; THIS MORNING IT WAS FLAT AGAIN!!!

WONDERFUL HUBBY WENT AND HAD IT FIXED TEMPORARYLY UNTIL A NEW TIRE CAME FROM THE WAREHOUSE; JUST SO I COULD MAKE FAIR PICK-UP BEFORE 3PM; THEN WHEN I GOT BACK THE TIRE WAS IN AND THEY FIXED IT.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES; WE ARE ON VACATION THIS WEEK IN REEDVILLE, VA WHERE WE HAVE A PLACE; WE WILL DO BIRTHDAY / ANNIVERSARY DINNER TONIGHT SINCE ALL RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED HERE ON MONDAYS; WE HAVE BEEN TO THE FORTH OF JULY PARADE, A PIG ROAST AND WE HAD A CRAB FEAST ON SUNDAY; I JUST WAS ABLE TO GET THE PICTURES POSTED ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE AND IT HAS BEEN A VERY "MAYBERRY" WEEKEND AND WE HAVE LOVED EVERY MINUTE.

You have alot of amazing quilts! You must have alot of patience to do some of them. I just can't imagine doing anything bigger than a coaster with 1/2" pieces....LOL. You're also very good with color coordination. I saw one I think was mariners compass in red black and white. It was inspiring as I have wondered how in the world to use black and white prints.

I would love to get back to the Northern Neck to visit. Those big beautiful homes in Reedville are something. It seems like such a romantic place to me. I made many pictures when I was there last---probably 5 or more years ago. I taught kids from Calleo who would be all grown up now. We moved to Lancaster Co for my husband`s job in Aug and I needed a teaching job. All they had to offer was the high school position in English at Heathsville so I only taught there one year before moving back to elementary. I made Rag. Anns and Andys for my daughter and niece, then started collecting old ones.

Janet, You have beautiful quilts. I`m familiar with the Reedville area, as I taught at Heathsville HS many, many years ago and we lived in Kilmarnock for 7 years. The area has changed so very much since we were there. My daughter was born there and she is now 40 years old. I noticed you have Rag. Anns. I collected old ones until I ran out of space.
