About Me
I will be 73 years old in September but I can't really believe all that many years have gone by! I taught myself to quilt about five years ago and absolutely LOVE to quilt. Instead of shoes I buy material...I am addicted. I learned quilting, sewing clothes, knitting, tatting, beading, smocking and everything below from my paternal grandmother. I am making one for each child and grandchild besides covering everything in my home with quilts.

MISTAKE

Please forgive me for putting that picture of the little critters on my page instead of what I wanted to put there ... I tried several times to cancel the picture but to no availe. I wanted to show a picture of Larry and I and Cathy, my daughter, and the beautiful "Double wedding ring quilt" that I gave her when she and Shawn O'Day got married a couple of years ago. She hung it in her hallway and it really is smashing. I get a lot of compliments on that quilt and I wanted to show all of you. Sorry, I am tired of sitting on this computer but I know I will spend many enjoyable hours looking, reading and learning. Jackie Buckner

Hi: I finally put Sissy Anne in the dog pen and she is quiet now so I will get get her and Oscar and go down and quilt. It makes me feel better. I am making myself a twin sized log quilt for the cold weather when I sit in my recliner. It has beautiful dark colors and yellows mixed in. I need to make 24 large squares and I will post a picture when it is done. When we got the puppy, six months now, I had to spend all my time upstairs with the dogs. I did a lot of reading on my READER that Larry… Continue

My dog that is six months old is driving me nuts being naughty and chewing cardboard boxes full of 2004 papers. It fell over and scared her! She ran out of the den and yelped, whined and finally barked to tell daddy that she got in trouble! He was just coming in for lunch and asked me what in the world happened! Our Basset, Molly, died in her sleep and it broke our hearts. She was ten years old and had heart problems so we were expecting her to pass. Larry took her out to our property and dug a… Continue

Jacqueline, I got the panels from Over the Rainbow online quilt store. She has some really good deals and Laura is wonderful to work with. It is www.overrainbow.com. I cannot tell you exactly where I found them but I bought two and then just cut the edges and tied them together. He loves it and when my girlfriend babysits him for the day, her dog loves it too. I wanted to get a couple in pink to make her one but cannot find anything but blue. My GF said blue would fit better in her house anyway. So there you go. If you cannot find them though, if you email Laura, she will point you in the right direction.

Thank you for the kind invitation as a friend, Jacqueline. I happily accept! I'm trying to type to you with a chihuahua on my lap! She is definitely the Princess of the home! I don't know what we'd do without her..........she certainly brightens our day! Have a great eve!

Thank you for the friendship request. One can never have too many of those, and I appreciate your comments on the basket quilt. I'm a self-taught quilter also, and I'm still learning! That's why I appreciate this web site - I can take advantage of all the gifts, talents and experience of other quilters. Hope you had a happy birthday.
