Thank you, Jean
I'm so glad that you like my Classic Folk Art Quilt. I looked at your quilts before sending this message and you have made a lot of beautiful quilts! And lots of baby quilts!
Hello, You will love Lancaster. They have lots of quilt shops. This week is there big quilt show. I wish I could have gone. Our biggest quilt shop we go to is down around the Williamsport Area. I grew up down below the Reading Area. I've been working on a Patriotic quilt to be donated to an organization that takes wounded soldiers hunting. I have a few more rows to sew together, then off to be machine quilted. I will post a pic of it when done. Talk to you soon.
Hello Jean, It will be great to have you as a friend. We had quilt guild last night. We had show and tell, Exchanged 5 inch charm squares. Opened up our gift from our secret pals. The guild is working on a Jacobs ladder quilt. So today I sewed my row of squares together for the next meeting. Last night we had program on getting back to the basics of quilting. Very interesting!! I also live in the snow belt. I live on top of a mountain. I think we are the only ones who get the most snow. In fact we got more today. I live in the middle upper part of PA near NY state border line. We lots of deer and bear in our yard all year long. Love your quilts they are awesome!!
Thanks so much for the kind words Jean , I have been quilting for a long time

Thank you for you comment on my Log Cabin quilt. Your black and white one is neat with the blue in the middle. I love your baby quilt that you gave to the church members.
Thank you Jean. It is a rough road for sure. I will happily take any prayers I can get. Sending some and good wishes for you and dh as well. I just looked thru your slide show...I have commented on a lot of them over time LOL...I like your style my friend!
Hi Jean: Been a long time since I have been on this site. Lots have changed. Enjoying a snow day today. In my comfie clothes and catching up my internet browsing. Hoping to get up into my sewing room later and give it a good clean out. Haven't done much sewing this past year, but now have lots of time. Plan on spending more time on the site so hope to hear from you again. Hope all is improving with your hubby.
Thanks Jean! The heart runner was a birthday gift for a dear friend. She liked it too!
Hi Jean: I am so glad to hear that your DH is feeling better, I am sorry that he had to go through all that in the first place. I find it very hard to focus on my crafts when I am stressed, I make all kinds of mistakes etc. I still hven't much time to do crafts, but soon I hope. I have missed the fellowship tht this sit brings. I will keep you Hubby in my prayers so that he has a clean bill of health come March 7th. Take care
Jean, I used to do a lot of painting before I retired. I lived in CA and my best buddy would cut out the wood and I'd paint the projects. Then she would assemble if necessary. We didn't do shows but made a ton of things. I given a lot of my stuff away to special people but as far as I know my buddy still has all of her things. We got started when she gave me a 30" Toy Solder for Christmas that she cut out and painted. He didn't have any decorative elements to him but I loved from the start. I call him Monty Wingate. He looks very British.
I have a couple of wood pieces I'd like to do but I just don't seem to get to them now that I have started quilting.
