Hey Jeanie girl....what have you been up to? What are you working on?
I'm still working on a table runner using templates....seems like I'm procrastinating.....but time flys and I seem to be getting little done. Now with having said that.....I plan on getting off the computer soon and going in to indeed get some sewing done today.
Today is Oregon's 150 birthday and my also and now that I think about it.....I feel 150 sometimes :( We are going out to dinner and a movie later this evening. Hope to find a good comedy somewhere...I have to check the playing listings yet. What the weather doing in Iowa? We are expecting sun after the clouds clear. I think I'll take my dog for a walk. Gotta run.....have a good day.
Hi Jeanie....you crack me up with the "I'm an idiot" about the computer.....it seems so easy for some people and is easy, as long as a person knows what key to click, button to push etc....does a computer even have a button now that I said that? :) I am going to be 56 on the 14th and have only been messing around on a computer for about 3 yrs now and still have limited knowledge. I was going to sign up for a computer class....but my boys said "OH mom" we can show you all that stuff. Well....like that ever happens. So I'm left to a trial and error system. And by the way....in those 3 yrs....this is my 2nd computer. I killed the mother board on my 1st one. I took in into the repair man and he pronouced it dead at 1:30 Sept. 25th, 2008. I almost passed out and had to fork out $$$$$$$$$ for this one, which actually is a better computer. Well.....thats my idiot story.
Getting around this site is pretty easy, what are you having trouble with? Have you ordered anything from Connecting Threads yet? I haven't ordered any fabric or projects, but I am getting ready to order some "Treads". Everyone says they are great....less fuzz in the bobbin case, no breakage and wonderful colors, not to mention the good prices. Gotta run....the dog is waiting for her walk I promised her. Have a good day, hopefully SEWING :)
Hello Jeanie; How are you today? I hope this finds you quilting up a storm. Wanted to check and see if you have found your way around the site and read about the group quilt yet? If you send me your email address I will send you a copy of the quilt we are going to be doing. Also a copy of the 9 designs we can all choose from. Its going to be a whole lot of fun and would like to see you join in with us. Its a pretty simple pattern. No time limit on when you have to finish the quilt, no color scheme just a whole lot of fun. Happy Quilting looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi Jeanie, welcome to the group! I live in Waterloo with my hubby and 2 pets. We are empty nesters who enjoy traveling a bit. I usually take my projects along. I can't get too far away from my quilting! Our cat is a Tabby named Thomas. I am really enjoying being part of this group and hope you will too!
