Joan: You will love love love your new machine. I have a 200E but had it upgraded to the 730E a few years ago. There's nothing that I don't like. I wish I had $10,000 to buy the new one out. I love the larger embroidery hoop but not enough to spend $10,000. I met some bernina store owners from your area onece when I went to Oklahoma City for a training at Oklahoma Embroidery. They were really talented ladies and had a lot of good stuff to share. I just can't remember where their store was. If I think about it I'll send you a note. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I don't know everything but I used to teach the Mastery Classes years ago. Happy Mothers Day to you.

Joan: Have you heard from your distributors yet? EE Shenk and, yikes, I've forgotten the other one. (hoffman????) I'm starting to get nervous now that we are only days ways from market, I sure hope I get noticed. With over 3000 booths it will be hard but I'm going to do the best I can and know that that is all I can do, Keep your fingers crossed for me this next weekend. PS: thanks for the comments this past week

Good Morning: Joan:
Sure sounds like you have been busy too?!, My 16 year old granddaughter Brittneys birthday turned out fun
Your granddaughter will grow back new teeth soon, my 6 year old granddaughter Kayln has one front tooth out and she thinks its is funny.
She is our tombboy in this family, yet still likes being & dressing up like little girls do(Hanna Montanna is her new favorite person, Dora the explorer is not in her favorites no more, go figure, kids (ha!ha!, got to love'em). They are funny though.
I am glad the snow went away for you, but the weather person stated this morning we are suppose to have snow coming this way today and to think for these past several days it has gotten up to the mid 50s' and one day 60, but at night the temp sure drops down to lower 30s.
Well it won't be long before the hot summer comes roaring in, I'd personally would like it just to stay warm & sunny.
May you have a good day today Joan, I'm glad that you sent me a message. you made my day thank you.
with hugs & prayers Judy

Hi Joan! Thanks for the encouragement--I think I do have a split personality or something like that. Quilt or write? Hmm. I grew up in the Texas Panhandle and used to go skiing at Red River. (that was back when dinosaurs roamed the earth) I have been lots of places in NM. Where are you?

Hi Joan! Thanks again for the welcome! I grew up in Farmington, NM ... a LONG time ago. It has grown a LOT since I left there ... 30 years ago. This IS a fun site! I'm glad I decided to "look"! It's GREAT! Now ... if I can just keep up with this site ... and all my projects! LOL!

Thanks, Joan! I have a few more pictures of projects I have completed to add; but, haven't had the time. I am getting better and better at "free motion" quilting on my sewing machine! It's a very difficult thing for me to do - hard for me to stay relaxed when I'm trying to "free motion"! Congratulations on being a survivor! GOOD FOR YOU! I LOVE your projects! They are GORGEOUS!

Hi Joan!

I'd love to keep in touch, too!

I will count the blessing too for each blessed day you have with you wonderful family and hubby. "Us" cancer survivors are so aware of those days as they tick by and are grateful for each and every one of them!

Reggie talked to someone in Clovis yesterday (it was a business call). Of course, Clovis is where he was born and he mentioned that to the person on the call. Reggie asked how Clovis was and he was told they got 2 inches of snow night before last! In NM!! Wow!! Lol!!

I'll be going to Asheville, NC with him for a week and I'm tying to plan out how many project I can squeeze into the Jeep along with our little Mini Schnauzer :)

Hugs and prayers,
Bev

Hi Joan! Congratulations on your 5 year mark! My first bout with non-smoking lung cancer was in 1982 at the age of 28. My son was 19 months old. At that time a tumor and portion of the lower lobe of my right lung was removed. I went cancer free until 1995 when again cancer was found on my left lung (again non-smoking). At that time 60% of my left lung was removed. Since then I have been cancer free :) !

I have worked with Relay for Life on several occasions. I've never made a quilt though. What an exciting idea! It would be a great idea to have a group of survivors make a quilt to raffle for Relay for Life.

BTW, my sweet hubby is a New Mexican native. He was born in Clovis, spent is early years after spending a few years in Germany where his Dad was stationed after the War. The Reggie's father's work carried a few other places, including the South where he grew up. Reggie moved o Albuquerque and lived there a few years before we married in 2003 and he moved South again.

Quilting is a BIG stress reliever for me...and I find it comforting. Now Reggie is taking it up and we're working on our 1st project together. As soon as we finish the top, I'll post pictures on my page.

Hugs,
Bev
