Hello all you crafty sewers here. Sorry, it has been a while since I checked in. I have finished school for now and hope to have a little free time to check back here more often.  I enjoy looking at everyone's projects and hope to share a few of mine.

Much love, God Bless

What was I thinking? lol

Recently, I made a major decision which will effect my future, and hopefully for the better. Being 44 and going back to school? lol Yes, it's true. Since the economy and the unemployment rate seem to be stalled out indefinantly, I have decided to continue my education. Winter Quarter Lanier Technical College here I come. All prayer's and encouragement are dearly appreciated!

I have been computerless for a few months now and have not been able to…

Ok, I am guilty, I have to admit it. I went to the doctor on Friday, he said all is healing well and looked good, just keep taking it easy and enjoy our beach trip (Aug 21-28). After leaving the doctors office we went to the local strip mall to find my DH a white polo shirt, so we can have one of those picturs taken at the beach wearing white shirts and kakai shorts like our friends around here have taken on their trip to the beach. Anyway, we went into maybe 3 stores, all the while I was… Continue

Still need to learn how to take it easy!

Well after 7 days post surgery I am realizing I still need to take it easy. Went shopping last night with my DH and after walking in a couple of stores at the local mall, I realized I had over done it. Still this morning I am having uncomfortable pains. Gonna take it easy today. We are supposed to be leaving in 7 days to go to North Myrtle Beach S.C. and I don't want to do anything that may interfere with my long awaited vacation. I so need to get away and feel the breeze and relax to the ocean… Continue

Hello Joy....I am not sure this would be considered a bargello. Most of the time bargello is done by shifting the strips of varying widths. This one the colors form a weaving pattern and is made of just one block that is repeated. Hope this answers your question.  Bonnie

Here's the fabric: Nature's Glow Dragonfly Metallic Dark Coral
I just found it online at Fabric.com: Item Number: DC-965 for $8.98/yd. I've purchased from them several times - they are a good outfit. The rest I have on hand is already slated for a project. Thanks for asking though.

Hi Joy, from looking at your profile we have allot in common. I am also a christian woman with two kids. Mine are 42 and 43 and between them I have 7 grandkids. Before retiring three years ago I worked at a day care center. I cooked all the meals. When I retired I opened up "Irene's Sewing Studio" in my home and I take in alterations and do new creations as well. Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. I hope we can talk in the chat room sometime. Happy 4th of July
