About Me
I love to quilt, my favorite room in my house is my sewing room, it's my own little retreat. I keep saying I will sell a quilt but I just keep giving them away! I am married to a wonderful man who is my greatest fan, but also teases me about giving all my quilts away. Love meeting other quilters and find they are some of the nicest people around.

Words found scratched on the wall of an insane asylum in Califorina, 1917

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Tho stretched from sky to sky.

(I'm thinking the person wasn't all that crazy!)

Julia where the heck is your town in WI. Never heard of it. Is it large or small. Your quilts are awesome. Love the look of your machine quilter too and your dogs are beautiful babies. Mary Jane at the Hen House sends her greetings.

Thank you---Bailey is on the mend---she started moving around on her own when the meds kicked in so I think she is going to be back to normal shortly----

Ha! That's what I did, Julia...
Oh, Maria Holloway made the quote. I go to the Pigeon Forge quilt show each year (A Mountain Quiltfest) and she is a vendor at the show..

Thank you, Julia!
We had the building put up for a 'quilt shop' -which is all on-line now, so the shop is turned into my 'quilting studio' santuary..
Have agreat quilty day!
Here's a favorite quote from another quilter Maria (can't remember her last name)
"Quilting isn't everything in my life,
but it's right up there with oxygen."

Thank You Julia,
I am so glad Craigs list worked out for you, and you were able to get your dream machine. We have tons of things listed on Craig's list, and the prices are at their lowest.. people are still trying to low ball everything, it is pathetic.. Ohio is such a dead state.

Thanks for your input on the quilting machines. I think I want the Tin lizzie 18LS due to price and features. I don't plan to do enough to warrant the Millineum. I will watch to see some of your quilts posted though.

My dogs have been starved for attention this week too! With Samuel I haven't had time for them. Hopefully after tomorrow I can make more time for them. Sounds like you had a happy day shopping, you can always take one more day to get started!! Have a restful night. Blessings, Linda

It Takes A Village

Just finished piecing this quilt which I have named "It Takes A Village". The original name was "Santa Town Square" by Lynette Jennings. I obviously didn't use Christmas fabrics thus the name change. Not sure when I will get to quilting it, maybe not until the beginning of De… Continue

CT Thread...Love It!!!

My quilting buddy that God led me to on this site (Linda Sue) suggested that I try the Connecting Threads thread and I just love it! I love it so much that I just ordered a bunch so that I can replace all my old thread. CT's thread doesn't break like my old thread and I thought I was buying a quality thread (not just any old sale stuff). I only wish that they had more colors in the cones for quilting my quilts...just a suggestion! So I highly reccommend this thread if you haven't tried it order… Continue

Paths To The Stars

Well I finally finished this quilt. I just did an all-over stippling pattern. Wanted it ready for a gift. Will probably give it to my sister & brother in-law for Christmas. Have to start thinking about getting those gifts ready. I have a lot of company in the next… Continue

More Storage

My DH helped me rearrange stuff in the basement, (where my sewing room is) so that I could add some cabinets so that I could see my fabric. Problem is...now I don't have enough fabric...becuase it couldn't possibly be that I have too much storage!LOL Other photos of my actual sewing room are on my site. Storage is just a door away!
