Retired and living with a few disabilities. Single, a mother of two very grown daughters who have blessed me with five delightful, ever-so-different grandchildren. I love the buttons! Ok, the cutey with the tongue sticking out is a good one too. So sorry to have missed you. I am adding things to a box again. This time, the mailable size. I figure several smaller ones periodically might be in order. I don't know what TX did to Michael, but we now own a Ford F-150, silver, but with FL license plates. Had to trade in my TX plated vehicle. Glad to see it go, but now need something TX to put on the car to designate my place in line as a Texan. I couldn't find a longhorn sticker, or Texas, State of the Arts, anywhere. Time was not on our side. What a trip. We haven't even met in person, and I was missing you frequently, when our plans to get together fell through. Sooner or later, I'll be back. My door is always open for you also.
Hi julie, welcome to out T4T group. Brenda is an excellent Moderator and gives us plenty of exciting and new techniques to learn. We are all newbies about this textile and textile art. I know that you will enjoy meeting everyone there. We are quite a friendly group and love sharing ideas. I have sent a request to be your friend. Again, welcome!
Hi, Julie and welcome to the site! I caught your comments on the T4T group and wanted to let you know there are a lot of us on here learning new things all the time. I've been quilting for quite a while now, but my personal feeling is that it's never too late to learn how to do something the right way! : D Check out some of the other groups, like the Love of Art Quilts (it will free up your style!) and the ATC/Aceo/ Post Card group (something a bit smaller to work/play with!). We'd love to have you join us!
Hi Julie, The applique sewing machine cover was from Patch Press many years ago. I have tried to find that pattern for other people but it's out of print. Actually that pattern would not fit the modern bigger machines. I use it on my old Kenmore that I have had since 1978 which is about the time I made that cover. But it wouldn't be hard to draw the applique and put it on any sewing machine cover. The quilted cover is called Cottage Rose Sewing room collection, by Michelle Griffith. I bought my in Clotildi, it comes with a sewing machine caddy and needle case also. a DVD also comes with it for the embroidery.
