It is a 6" block from the quilt pattern "Sylvia's Bridal Sampler"... made from the Elm Creek Quilt book series by Jennifer Chiaverini...

Sorry to hear you will miss the quilt show. I am sure you can find many quilt shops on your trip. That's always fun to discover a new shop. I don't have anything entered in the show. I'm not good enough yet. I've seen those quilts and don't think I will ever be that good.

Yes. I will be at the quilt show in Hampton. I live really close to it. I am taking a workshop on Thursday and plan to go on Saturday also. Let me know if you are going to be there and maybe we can meet. Thanks for the complement on the Yellow Brick Road pattern. It is very different each time I do it. It's a fun and easy quilt to make.

I just finished my great nephew's quilt for his 10th birthday. I wanted something that would grow with him, something he could take with him to college and beyond. I hope he likes it and appreciates it.

yah my daughter had a really bad professor there for english. he didn't want her in the class because she was a graphic design major and he was convinced she was in his class because she needed the credits. he started emailing her the summer before that she should get out while she can without penalty. she emailed him back saying, give me a chance to prove you wrong that maybe i am actually interested in irish studies. when she finally got to class, he put her down in front of everyone and told his class his best student the year before was a jewelry major "what a waste". she went after class to talk to him and he basically said, if she dropped the class, he would pretend she never showed up. her counselor said, big deal, kids drop classes all the time. i should have reported him but my daughter begged me not to.
