Life has been busy!

Sorry, I haven't taken the time to blog although I have been trying to keep up with everyone. I have been preparing for gastric bypass surgery. It has taken almost a full year to get to the point where I am ready for the surgery which will happen on July 6th. I am excited and looking forward to the next phase.

DH and I just returned from a 2 week vacation in Williamsburg, VA and Washington D.C. What a lovely part of the country. Wasn't near enought time to see everything.

My 2 year… Continue

I love living in Minnesota. DH and I were out and about today running errands. The trees are budding out, the grass is green and there is wild life everywhere. We saw geese and ducks swimming on every lake we passed, which in MN is every mile or so. A rooster pheasant ran across the road right in front of us and the skies are full of birds. Spring has finally arrived!

We stopped at wally-world for a few stock up staples and then off to the fabric shop. I have a baby shower coming up in two… Continue

Karen, thank you for the prayers during this difficult time. I can not even begin to imagine how you suffered when you lost your daughter. I am so sorry. My heart just aches for this mother also. Such unexpected tragedies take a toll on us all. God bless...

I'm just south of St. Cloud, outside of Clearwater. It's great because I'm pretty central located to about 10 different shops, although I learned the one in Buffalo is closing after just a couple of years. :( Any good shops around Shakopee. I've been tempted to take off on a Saturday and hit some of the vintage/antique shops that the Star Trib talked about a couple of weeks ago.

I love Sedona! Williamsburg is wonderful, too!. I hope that all goes well with your surgery! A friend had a banding done in December and she has done amazingly well. You take care of yourself! Keep me up on the news.

Karen, praying for all the best with your upcoming surgery. I had gastric by-pass done in about 1982 in Coon Rapids, MN. James Seay was my surgeon. That was a long time ago. Where are you having yours done? My best words of wisdom, obey the doctor's orders.

Karen, How are you? Long time no hear? I haven't been up to the twin cities for awhile. I've been too busy quilting! Well...that and a pesky bout of bronchitis.

I know Shakopee! I'm actually from North Carolina. DH works with Northwest, soon to be Delta. Oddly enough, my family is originally from the Twin Cities. My aunt lives in Hopkins. Thanks for the invite to join your friends!

Karen, I'm going to ask the same question as others. Where in MN do you live. I was born and raised in the southern part, and spent many years working in the the St Cloud and north central area. I am still a Minnesotan at heart. They even razz me down here in MO about my weird accent.

Hi Karen! I know what you mean about living in Minnesota. I have been here about 18 years now and still love it! We have lakes on either side of our little town and I love the geese flying over and honking on their way to the fields to eat. What part of Minnesota are you in? Mary
