About Me
I am 44 years old. My husbands name is Lloyd and we have two boys, Bradyn(12) and Carson(8). I love quilting, gardening, canning, reading books, magazines, surfing the internet for quilting sites. I also love fabric shopping, belong to Berks County Quilt Guild and I am a coffeeaholic. I am a dental hygienist, I work a little and play alot. We raise chickens right now for meat and eggs and hope to add some other animals to our collection.

Its been a few days.............

How is everyone? Good I hope. I am back from playing in NYC. My friend and I went and saw Martha Stewart, Mamma Mia, and Wicked. What a whopping 48 hours it was. Martha is located in the fashion district and the fabric in the windows was amazing. I am back to sewing, right now I'm working on a very large quilted bag to hold all of my rulers. To wash or not to wash

OK, who pre-washes their fabrics and who doesnt. What is your reasoning behind each method? I just finished piecing a wall hanging(The one I posted a picture of) and it was just a mess. After I pre-washed there were so many threads and strings. What a mess. I think from now on I will only pre-wash fabrics that will be used for something that is going to be washed a lot. What does everyone else think?

Hi everyone. I have been quilting this afternoon and my oldest son also helped me post a few pictures. I'm still not quite sure how to do that on my own. Getting them from the camera to the computer isnt so bad it is finding my folder in the mess of everything else that is on the computer. I posted a picture of one of my current projects and also of my buddy Beemer. I am trying to get a picture of my kids up but am having trouble. Well maybe later. Hi this is my first post and I am very new to this. Will I ever get to quilt is my question. I have two young boys, they are 8 and almost 12. There never seems to be enough hours in the day. I'm sure this is not new news to anyone. I always have good intentions but it never seems to happen. I have many UFO's and so many new projects I want to start. I usually do not pre wash my fabrics, I buy good quality and do not find a need. I will test dark colors , red and purple.
