About Me
My sewing adventures started in High School. For my 18th birthday I got a sewing machine. My choice. I got into making boat seats and eventually got a leather sewing machine to do motorcycle seats. Now I am into quilting and love looking at fabric. You can say I am addicted. I like to do a different pattern every time., and would like to do more arts type wall hangings. I am married to a great guy who's hobby is drag racing. So he is in the garage a lot which gives me lots of time for MY hobby. I have 2 wonderful sons, one is married and has a home and business of his own, The other is still at home going to college. Least but not last are my dogs Winston and Tenny and many numerous foster dogs that have crossed my path.

Been Away

Hello, I have been away from my Blog for 4 years!!! I cant believe the time has gone so very fast.  So much has changed. My son got married and started his own business. My youngest son is a Senior in College. We moved and have added another Rescue dog to our family. We have had many foster dogs and pups come to stay for just a bit, while they were waiting for their "Furever" home. Hope to get back into the swing of things. I have learned some new techniques that I would like to share on my…

Posted on June 7, 2009 at 4:27pm 6 Comments

I have just finished the background of my 50's art quilt that will be donated to the APL in our area. They are having a Car Show in August. Now I have to put it together and it will be ready. My Hubby doesnt want me to donate it, he wants it. I told him he will just have to purchase a bunch of tickets and win it!!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments on the quilt "Rebooting the Motherboard" I appreciate it. This week I have been working on this car fabric wallhanging. It is a new techique that I am trying out. I know its not finished yet, still trying to decide an a background. All the pieces were cut smaller then the template to let the black show thru. The technique I saw... they used a white background. It is very similar to stained glass, as you do the same thing with the pattern and the black… Continue

Squiggles at Night Quilt

Posted on May 28, 2009 at 6:00pm 11 Comments

I have renamed this quilt from squiggles at night to "Rebooting the Motherboard" This quilt is for my son. The reason that I picked this particular pattern is because he is a computer geek. I say that lovingly, as he is my computer genius. It reminds me of all the miles of cords under his computer desk. It was kind of a quilt as you go. I quilted it in 2 pieces, than put it together. Glad it is done before it gets any hotter.…

Hi Kim, I guess I posted something that you didn't understand so I came looking for my orig post and did not find it, but I found your glass, funny how we might favor one color scheme over another. I think this turquoise one or lighter one best. Hope I find my post that didn't make sense. Perhaps, I'm just being friendly.

Hi, Kim,
You seemed interested in joining our birthday block swap last month. Our July participant has had to drop out of the group. I'm wondering if you'd still be interested and want to take her place. I'll need to know soon so we can get you set up. You'll need to make a decision on a block for us to make you by June 1.
