Greyson Chance

Posted on January 27, 2011 at 5:50am 0 Comments

My daughter, Andrea and I met Greyson Chance at Mall of America. He is the 12 year old singer that Ellen Degeneres discovered. He is a wonderful singer and a sweet kid. He just started his first tour and I think he will do well.

Rotary cutter question?

Posted on January 17, 2011 at 5:52am 11 Comments

Does anyone know if I can use Olfa blades on my Fiskars rotary cutter? Fiskars blades are not always available and it would be nice if I can use the other in an emergency.

Help!! My red is bleeding!

Posted on August 2, 2010 at 5:14pm 7 Comments

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do about the red bleeding on this quilt top? I have hand peiced this so it would not be easy to replace the block. I don't mind if the bleeding wouldn't go any further but don't want to have it ruin the top further. I am hoping some of you can give me and idea of what to do.

Hi Kim,

I just have to tell you that your Felix looks exactly like our Zephyr.  He's gone, now, but we sure do miss him.  The shiny gray coat is not so common.  He had a lot of funny mannerisms just like your Felix.

BTW, I'm from Owatonna.

Thanks for the reply. I know exactly what you mean about never getting up to date - you have my sympathy !

You left a question for me on this pic and can only apologise that it has taken me so long to respond. Really sorry about the delay but did not see it until today. I did not have a pattern for this but drafted it out after seeing a pic on the Internet. If you would like some help with doing that then please let me know and I will measure the patchwork pieces and let you know the sizes to cut them. I will sit and look at it also to try and remember the stitching sequence. I still have not quilted it so quite easy to measure.

Kay, I really enjoyed looking through your photos! You do beautiful work. I'm a kitty lover too. We have two, Midnight and Casper. Midnight is 13 years old and is losing furr like crazy. I searched it on the internet and possible reasons are fleas (no), ringworm ( I don't think so) and aging. I think it's probably aging. I think cat loving people are very special.

Kim, it's always good to have a hand piecing item to travel with you!

Let me know how the Syntrapol works out for you. Now that I know about it, I prewash all my fabrics in it, as a preventative measure; specially batiks and hand dyed fabrics. The quilt with the bleeding problem, where I first found out about synthrapol, is actually posted in my pholos (Tiny Tulips). As you can see, it rescused it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
