Is it redundant to post the same pic here I added to my photo album?  Let me know if I'm overdoing it:  new camera arrived and it may be creating a monster!

This will be my first blog ever!  My first grandbaby is on the way in April, and my quilting has really picked up speed lately, AND I just ordered a camera which uploads directly to the net.  So put all that together, and it's time for a quilt-making, grandmothering, picture-taking spree, and where better to share all that than with a like-minded group?!

I just found Connecting Threads a couple months ago, and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their fabrics and reasonable prices.  I hope to…

It's been a year. Stopped in to say hello. Hope all is well with you. How did you make out with the Bonnie Hunter grand illusion mystery. I got everything cut out and patches made but only 2 blocks done so far.

Hello Kim, just wondering when new grand baby will arrive. Hope all goes well. I have not even started my CT mystery blocks yet. It's on my to do list after I catch up on a few UFOs. Hope you have a good evening.

Good Morning Kim.  Yes, I'm in Eastern Maine, on the border of New Brunswick, Canada.  So close that I take my walks in Canada. I just heard the coordinator of the trip is having a hard time filling the bus.  Some of the ladies who usually go either don't want to pay or can't afford to pay the extra money to go that far. Just to go across Maine it takes 6 hours from here. It's a long day but the bus is always available to go rest in. I always pity the driver who has to listen to over 50 women laughing and talking all day. Not to mention having to hang around waiting for us to shop. We always give him a good tip but a million dollars to hang out with a bunch of women from 5:00 a.m. to after midnight wouldn't be too much. lol  The bus goes every year to three or four shops in Maine. The last time I went the shops were pretty far apart so it was a very long day. But it's good to just get away and have fun.

Congratulation of becoming a new Grandmother. I just got my first Great Grand baby last Oct.  Her name is Melody Rose.

Thank you Kim for the comment regarding my MQ fabrics. Looking forward to seeing your pictures. Being a "Grand" is sew much fun, and making baby quilts is the best. Enjoy.

Thanks for the' comment, betweens.  Our first chihuahua was the 'monster' only in size; she weighs about 15 pounds but is a purebred chihuahua (she was a tiny puppy when I got her).  But she is so awesome, I ended up getting two more tiny teacups, one purchased and one rescued.  People who've never owned a chihuahua do not understand them.  I like to say, 'they are an aquired taste.'  lol

Kim welcome to the board and also welcome to the Chihuahua world. I have one too for the first time I have one monster..LOL rescued from abuse and 9 he is a cantankerous old man, but I love him to bits with time I am sure he will love us, it is a trust thang he is very very smart though and to me that is a little bit of a downfall for him, not very forgiving. I hope you post some pictures of your quilts and babies both fur and human ones.

Congrats on your first grandchild I am sure you are just over the moon we never get tired of seeing babies modelling quilts so with your new camera shoot away and post!!

Hi!  I'm in Western Maryland (very different politically and terrain-wise from central and eastern Maryland).  My guild also has retreats, two per year, but I doubt I'll get to them until after my children leave the house, still a few years away.

I do not know what type bird that is ... it's a pic I grabbed off the net some time back.  But I am a color junkie, so I'm hoping it inspires something one day.  Thanks for commenting.

I'm a new member, too!  I love this site and really like this group, don't you?  Everyone is so friendly and encouraging.  I'm in central Iowa, near Marshalltown.  Hope you can come to the August retreat!

Love the bird picture!  What kind is it?
