About Me
I've been quilting for over 25 years. I create small items to sell to help pay for my expensive hobby. I love hand-quilting and recently have taken on my own machine quilting small projects. I simply love to sew when the weather keeps me indoors. I have a supportive husband who designed and built a custom sewing table for me complete with airlift and set in. I am blessed to have the 'temporary' kitchen we used in the basement while completing our home. We have a beautiful spot on a great salmon river with an excellent view of the Wrangell Mountains. Thank you for your site and all it holds.

My pets are awesome!
Time to change this one. We finally got a new pet to replace my beloved Lhasa. She is a rescue dog so we don't know what she is or how old she is but she captured our hearts right off the bat. She's 10 pounds and does not shed and she is just a kick. Very happy!

Think Spring

I'm going on a trip to the Caribbean and have been wanting to make this small travel purse just for those 'important' things you want to keep close.  So I finally got it done.  Along with gifts for those I'll be staying with.  Love to sew!!!

CARPET IS IN AND MUCH MORE

SO FAR I HAVE ENJOYED TWO PURSE PARTIES IN OUR NEWLY REMODELED BASEMENT AND WHAT FUN WE HAVE HAD!

OTHER THAN THAT WE ENJOYED LOTS OF GOOD SNOW MACHINING TO NEW PLACES THIS SPRING BUT IT'S TIME TO PUT THE MACHINES AWAY ALTHOUGH OUR SON IS STILL OUT RIDING IN THE PASS. HE RIDES PROFESSIONALLY FOR THE FILM MAKERS AND IS HOPING TO GET HIS FULL SEGMENT IN.

THE ROBINS ARE BACK, THE CHICKADEES AND OWLS HAVE BEEN NESTING AND THE SWALLOWS SHOULD BE SHOWING UP SOON! I SAY MY FIRST CROCUS HEAD… Continue

Thank you gals for all your warm thoughts

I used my fireweed fabric purse to go to Wasilla yesterday and could have sold some right out of the car. One lady almost bought mine! Too funny. I have a picture of it posted on my page. The day before we went for a snow machine (snowmobile) ride and I finally got to cross the copper river (scary for most people) and see what it's like on the other side. There was a really nice trail but we only went down it for four miles cuz we had to get back home. Hope to go again. We've lived up here for… Continue

PAINTING IS DONE!

Posted on March 16, 2010 at 12:20pm 7 Comments

OK! The painting is done along with the trim work but now it's on to the carpet. When that finally gets done I plan to have a few girls over to work with them on a purse I've been making. I will post pictures soon. I have two done and two in progress. I also need to take a photo of the caribou scene I completed and my DH helped me mount it onto an old window frame so it looks like you're looking through the window.

I did enjoy sitting on the south deck this weekend and watching a mama… Continue

Hi   I will check it out.  Thanks. I found out that I have a purse pattern Purse-o-Nalities of Palm Harbor in Florida.  I live north of Cape Coral.  I live not to far from Tampa on the gulf side of Florida.  Love it. I am going to West Palm Beach tomorrow on a bus with 50 other quilters.  We are going to a quilt show tomorrow bright and early.  I hate getting up early.  Thanks again.  Barbara Donaldson

Hi   I enjoyed looking at your quilts purses and the beautiful scenery.  I was wondering about the purse called pursonality.  Is that a Joan Hawley pattern.  I have some patterns but I don't have any of hers.  I like  Penny Sturgis's patterns.   Would you be my friend.  Barbara Donaldson  Holiday Florida

All of your projects are beautiful. I particularly like the Garden Bag. I'm getting ready to make a couple of Deli Totes for my grandson's teachers. I've made a couple of purses but not many.
The view from your house is breathtaking. I was up in Alaska just after I graduated high school, a long, long time ago. The pristine beauty has been stamped on my memory. We've had snow every day since December 1 but the flakes are about the size of a grain of salt so we didn't get much accumulation. I love the seasons and was wondering how you manage the dark winters and light summers.

Thanks for the compliment on the apple placemats. The pattern comes from an Art to Heart book called Cider Mill Road. Lots of apple-themed items in it. I rarely do something without a pattern, but I guess that keeps the economy rolling!!!
