Thank you for the comment, Lady Kassy! I wish I had taken up quilting when I was young - too stubborn, ha. Said I would never, never be a quilter. Of course I also said I would never make the Twisted Bargello. Well, slowly but surely I'm learning not to say "never."
Welcome to the Quilt Frame. I loved your quilt show. And while I really admired the redwork, I have to say my favorite was the friends and family one. What a nice tribute and keepsake. I cannot get over how this group has grown in just a short time. This is the greatest bunch for sharing and swapping stories, ideas and just having a good time. I'm so glad you decided to join us. LadyKassy, Thank you for the comment on my Corns and Beans block. It is just one of the 139 blocks to go into the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler quilt, made as part of the Darlene's Slacker's group here on this site.
By the way, I love your little Kitty quilt. You said you like to hand quilt, we also have a group for hand quilters on this site, check it out.
I've been quilting off and on for most of my life. I do machine piecing and I'm learning to Appliqué. I prefer to hand quilt and use a lap frame as I don't have room to set up a floor frame. I've been making a lot of table toppers and wall hangings lately but I enjoy making bed quilts also.
