Hi, again! Sometimes the hard to find ones stick them in their "About Us" page. There are some that I never find and after I'm done I go back and look one last time and there it is in a very obvious place. I could swear it wasn't there before and they added it in late! Ever have one that you looked everywhere for and when you go back just one more time, the clue is right on the first page? I always feel like such an idiot when I do that! : D
The bit about the keys is really funny because I have a sister who's downright spooky. I'll be thinking about something I really need to get and haven't had time for and the next time I see her she'll say, "Hey, Char, look what I found at such-and-such store..." So now I'm very careful about what I wish for! LOL
I figured it was for me since no-one else is paying any attention to that page! LOL And I'm still chuckling over the fact that your husband's typing is so slow that you can hunt for wabbit, Elmer, while he's hunting keys! : ) Love it.
HI LAURA...I AM SO SORRY THAT IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO EVEN REALIZE THAT YOU WROTE AND ASKED ME A QUESTION ABOUT MY HEARTS WALLHANGING...THAT BEING SAID, THE NAME OF THIS PATTERN IS "FOUR CORNERS"...IT SURE WOULD BE NICE IF THE PERSON WHO TOOK YOURS OFF YOUR DOOR WOULD RETURN IT, RIGHT?
Laura, Sylvia's Bridal Shower quilt blocks are 6 1/2 inches or 6 inches finished. They are a little small. I think there is also a version of this where they make them a mere 4 inches, can you imagine? We will end up with 140 blocks where we are through.
The information and some pictures will be on this web site.
www.quiltsofvalor.wordpress.com You will have to go to the 3rd pages of blogs. It is a-bizillon possibilities. Under it is also pictures of 3 quilts done in that block. I did my scrappy and have pictures of it but I need to learn how to put them on my computer. Hopefully old dogs can learn new tricks. If you can't find the pattern I could snail mail it to you. Let me know. Marjorie
It stands for Disappearing Nine Patch, I got the pattern from Tink. I was just reading the comment to you from Jan from Iowa and It sounds like the same thing. I used 5in. squares and it makes a 13 and 3/4in block. You don't add a seam allowance.
The quilt on the bed on my page is called Nine-Patch Cut-Up. Very easy to do even though it looks hard. A nine patch, cut in fourths, rotate the upper left and lower right pieces 180 degrees and sew back together. I don't know if it has another name.
Yes the blocks were from TB's Sunrise & Sunset quilts. Sorry I have been so slow in answering, but just today was reading the comments below the photos!!! Guess I didn't know that there was a place to comment there!!!
