Thank you for kindly inviting me as a friend .It will me many a day before I will be able to attempt some of the wonderful designs on this site but it is fantastic to see how clever people are.
Hi Letty, I haven't been on this site in quite a while. Have really been busy but wanted to let you know that the Twisted Sister pattern and template are finally available. They called our quilt shop and we ordered 12 so that I could teach it next month. I just finished another scrappy one and then a baby one in 30's fabrics. Happy quilting, Marsha
Hi Letty, Thanks for the complements on my blocks. It is just my nature to forge ahead and finish a task that I start asap. I can't help myself!!!! I have so much fabric stacked up, and I always think that I need to finish one thing before starting another. Your quilts are amazing!!
Well, it's good to hear that other people make quilts for their dogs too. This one is just a blue fabric with purple border. And I am quilting it with red. Very colorful. Dogs are colorblind, aren't they? But my grandson isn't. He's very good with colors and quilt patterns. He comes up with some good ones. Yeah, grandkids really are the best, but you don't want them too soon. Just wait. They will be the best ever.
Good morning Letty. I see your on line now also. This is the quiet time in our house usually.I worked on my current block of the month yesterday as I am a little behind. It is of course applque. It is called Quilting In The Garden by Barb Adams and Alma Allen. It is a class I'm doing at our local quilt store on the 1st.Mon. of the month. I think They've decided in Sept. we will stsrt a 9 Block Baltimore Album. I want to have this one done as I know Baltimore requires alot of time and tremendous detail. Anyway have a good day.
I might start on block 4 this weekend. I have to get some thread and finish a couple of quilts for the grandsons. One is a quilt that Skyler wants for his dogs. I think you are right, Buddy may not be such a good name, that is very sad. Maybe he will call the puppy chocolate. Issiah loves chocolate, all kinds. Mostly plain chocolate, milk or semi-sweet.
Did you ever make a quilt for dogs? This is a first for me. Those grandsons have me wrapped around their little fingers, I will do anything they ask. And they know it. Oh well, it's the perks of being the Nana, I can do those crazy silly things with them!
Your quilts are fabulous. That Christmas pillow is stunning. I also like the way you have them displayed.I loved the applique one with the white background and the close up block Applique is my first love and machine piecing is definitely my last.
