About Me
I am a long-term sewer/ designer with a passion for fabrics, machines and sewing gadgets of all kinds. I am relatively new to quilting but fascinated by it and anxious to learn from other quilters. I live in Ontario right on the shores of Lake Huron and my post and beam home will soon host a Bed & Breakfast with a large studio for quilters. What better way to share my hobby, meet other sewers and keep my cats amused? I am a great fan of this CT website.
Hobbies and Interests

My pets are awesome!
Goldie, Sprinks, Maggie, Curly (cats), Rocky a 3-legged raccoon

Hi Linda
What type of quilt frame do you have.I have a Grace Pro Wooding frame. My frame is very sturdy and is heavy ,set up to do a king size quilt. This takes up alot of space in my sewingroom. My room is only 12x14,but l have everything l need in there.I can put my cutting table top on the quilt frame (w/no legs) and l put coffee cans under the table top to raise it up for a better height for me to work on.
My daughter said it was 80 in AZ today,l told her not to be so mean to me HA HA HA. She loves to tell the weather each day.
I've been working on some quilts for our show in April, most of them l have finished. With me being off work right now has made a big difference. Haveing trouble with getting photos on site.Still working on this.

Hi Linda, the B&B sounds fabulous. Why not join the Canadian Quilt group and meet some fabric, gadget, machine and quilt afficionados? Would be fun for all to hear more about your quilt studio. Susan

I also have a large room to quilt in on the lower level. I'm not fortunate enough to have a walkout, but it's a nice room. My husband redid it and surprised me a couple of years ago with some toys. He added a Husquavarna Mega Quilter with the frame. It sounds like the same one you have. He also put in a cutting table from Ikea that has hydraulics. I can easily adjust the height for standing or cutting which is great. I've got lots of cupboards for my fabric and supplies, so I can keep some sort of order. Now I have toys for our 4 1/2 year old grandson who likes to play while I sew. It's great to hear from you. Please stay in touch. Sandra

Hi Linda

I love the Lake Huron area and would be interested in what facilities you have to offer to quilters. Thank you, Sandra
