Thanks for your help and advice Linda, that sounds like a good idea--I would never have thought of getting the book spiral bound. Didn't know they did tha!!See, LEARN LEARN!!I LOVE IT!!!

My youngest granddaughter just turned 18 on Nov 5 also.
I am so looking forward to getting started on my blocks. Trying to get my sister interested in it and once she sees whats happening she might do it-I hope so. Do you belong to a guild or a quilting bee?

Thank you Linda for the birthday wish. Noticed you live in Biloxi MS. My son and his family live in Ocean Springs and he works at the IP. My son is head room Chef/manager of the buffet at IP. I come to BIloxi from Michigan at least twice a year on my way to Florida. My husband and I spend most of November in Florida, home to Michigan for the holidays and then drive down to Biloxi the day after Christmas to visit with my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren before heading for Ocala Fl for the winter.

Hello Linda, Have been checking out your blocks for the slackers group and they are really beautiful,can hardly wait to see them all put together. I just joined the group a couple days ago and waiting for my book to get here so I can get started. Some of the blocks look really hard. Is it all paper pieced? I will try to get as many done as I can.--Do I get thrown out if I don't?lol Love your work

The embroidery machine sounds so FUN! I looked at getting one awhile back. Sometimes I am quite tempted to get one. Yes, I am putting Maryam's block into my quilt for the same reason. Good memories and new friendships!! It would be kinda fun to actually have a quilt with blocks in it from a lot of the members of SBS, wouldn't it?
In returning Maryam's favor of a block, I have racked my brain and all I can come up with, is getting some paisley for her. I have been looking at a few every now and then when I come across some. They are hard to find in my little town, especially with no LQS's....
