Many thanks

I want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments on my quilts. You all really know how to make a person feel great. I did want to answer a question about the wall hanging with the photo of 2 girls on it. The girls are my younger sister and myself many (too many) years ago. I did the Sepia tone in my computer software, then printed it on fabric sheets called Printed Treasures, which you can buy at most fabric shops, then appliqued it to the main fabric. I used a decorative stitch on my sewi… Continue

Thank you for your kind words about Brandy and the loss of a pet. Brandy is the first pet I've ever had. It took my husband and the boys quite awhile to talk me into it. They wanted a large dog....Brandy was our meet in the middle pet. Now seventeen years later I can't imagine life without her. The boys have grown and flew the coop, but I never felt the "empty nest" until now. She was my constant companion. If I was home I was either holding her or she sleeping beside me as I worked. I had a Brandy bed in my sewing room & computer room. If I was gone my husband would find her in my sewing room. The house just feels empty. I never thought it would hurt this much. I feel your pain, know I will be thinking of you and sharing your grief. Cara

Hi Linda, thanks for your compliments. The Christening was today, so the quilt is officially Lily's. She, Mom and Dad are happy with it. Even their kitty loves the box!

Good Morning Linda! Hope you don't mind if I ask another question about your quilts....do you do the embroidery on JUST the top of the quilt or do you add the embroidery flourishes after it is all sandwiched together? I keep hoping to find a quilt I can grab my Mom's Viking Diamond and try it! Thanks again! Dejah

Hi Linda, Thanks for the nice comments on my Salt Water Taffty quilt. The pattern is by Ta Dah Quilts. The websites is
www.tadahquiltdesigns.com If you click the tab pattern preview it will give you the first page of the quilt. That is the main part of the quilt the next step is adding a white block on each side of the "candy". The quilt is fairly simple. Jannis

Thank you Linda (comment on Take my Hand photo by my son). We're excited for the day when he does this full time. Right now he has another job and does this as much as possible.
