A quilting friend sent this out this morning so I am going to share with my friends here... I know that it put a smile on my face when I read it.

Advice from a Singer Sewing Manual from 1949:

Prepare yourself mentally for sewing. Think about what you are going to do. . . never approach sewing with a sigh or lackadaisically. Good results are difficult when indifference predominates. Never try to sew with a sink full of dirty dishes or beds unmade. When there… Continue

Hi Linda, Welcome to QWU and Merry Christmas. I'm job hunting, just back from an interview at Accountemps and it seemed to go well. Thanks for befriending me. I hope we meet soon, do you shop at Time Treasured Quilts? I have been there a few times and had a real good impression of the store. Rebecca

Linda, you will LOVE this site. The people on here are like close friends. I sure hope we can get together in the future and hopefully it will turn into a regular thing. I taught two of my nieces to quilt but that is just not the same as having a friend to work with. I am busier working on their projects when I am home than my own. I will save my story for our first lunch!! pzi2855@yahoo.com is my email and maybe we can exchange phone numbers. Excited to meet you soon.

Hi there, it was exciting to hear from you. Our home is up in Waller on Hwy 290. We used to live in Cypress in Quail Forest at Louetta and Grant. We are moving back to Texas over the holidays from Lafayette so after the new year I would love to get in touch with you and have some coffee or lunch.

Hi Linda,
I am happy you requested me to be your friend, I have enjoyed Quilt With Us and have made many good friends. The inspiration and support I have gotten has been wonderful. I have accomplished more this past year and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

The ability to visit with fellow quilters at anytime has been wonderful for me. I live on a ranch in south eastern Oregon and do not have the opportunity to belong to quilting groups. It is great to talk to people from all over.

Take care and I will talk to you latter.

Hi Linda, I answered your question regarding my method for photo transfer. You can find it at the bottom of the memory quilt. Thanks for your question. Good luck if you try doing it! It is a labor of love!

Hi Linda,
Welcome to the site, I want to thank you for the interest in my memory quilt. I used June Tailor SEW-in Color Fast fabric sheets. I have used them in the past and have had very good luck with them. Making the memory quilt for my mother was a very rewarding project and her pleasure with the quilt has been very rewarding to me. I only get to visit her about once a year and to be able to give something of me that has given her so much pleasure has been wonderful.
